Rooted in a desire to be part of a smaller organization, I founded Airy Point Engineering Services Inc. in 2017. Taking on the role of leadership within a small company has allowed me to recruit personnel, build project teams and execute interesting project work. I am regularly humbled as I watch my little company grow year over year.
Throughout my engineering career, I have worked in technical multidisciplinary design environments for many clients in BC and Alberta. Every once in a while, I am sent reference documents bearing my professional seal. I enjoy having had a personal impact on energy infrastructure development in Western Canada.
Many people can attest to the fact that a being a proficient engineer does not necessarily make someone a good leader, business person or mentor. I have put a lot of effort into learning these skills through professional development and enrolment in TEC Canada and EO Accelerator. The majority of my success has been achieved by connecting with clients at the base level, where we can focus on building a reciprocal working relationships.
When I’m not elbow deep in design codes and regulatory paperwork, I focus on spending time with my lovely family of four. You may also catch me around Vancouver sipping scotch at a tasting event or see me buzz by on my motorcycle.

I began my path in engineering to follow my interests in understanding how the world around me works, and to improve life and infrastructure in the beautiful province that I call home. I work for Airy Point Engineering Services to put my ambition and experience to use in exactly that way as a mechanical engineer in training.
My primary experience so far includes working on FEED studies for clients in energy and utilities, creating as-built drawings for existing infrastructure, and calculating stresses and pressure within piping to ensure safety and engineering standards are being met. I look forward to continuing to expand my knowledge and experience with Airy Point Engineering.
While I use calculations and codes to manage stress in pipes, I manage my own with running. I'm an ambitious track and field athlete and have represented team Canada as a distance runner, and find that Vancouver is the perfect place to go for a run. The beautiful area around me, my supportive team at Airy Point Engineering, and a healthy appreciation for coffee all keep me motivated to be the best version of myself!

One highlight of my career was helping shape the City of Pitt Meadows HR Strategic Plan. That project that taught me the value of culture, clear communication and anticipating needs—principles I carry into my work every day to keep our team organized and empowered.
Outside of work, you'll find me exploring Vancouver's best matcha lattes or enjoying late-night conversations with friends.

Growing up with a love for the hand-drawn films of the 1990s and early 2000s, one of my first dreams was to work in animation. At the same time, with a civil engineer for a father and a math teacher for a mother, I developed a natural curiosity about how things were made and how they worked. When I discovered that CAD and drafting combined both the creative and technical worlds, I was instantly drawn in and fell in love with the process of seeing the digital models and drawings I created come to life.
Early in my career, I worked on a wide range of drawings and 3D models. The designs ranged from manufactured parts and metalwork assemblies to equipment installations and their corresponding layouts. Since joining Airy Point Engineering, I’ve had the opportunity to expand into an even broader variety of projects across instrumentation, structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
I believe curiosity is the key to both improvement and enjoyment in any craft. For me, it forms the foundation of continuous learning, producing quality work, and building meaningful connections. In a world with so much to explore, an openness to learn is always rewarded.
Outside of work, I enjoy laid-back activities such as photo walks, playing guitar, and trying new dishes and desserts from different cuisines. When the weather is just right, I head out on day hikes or overnight camping trips with friends to take in the natural beauty of British Columbia.

I bring over 12 years of mechanical engineering experience in the oil & gas and chemical industries. From early concept design to leading full-scale equipment commissioning, I have built my career on technical knowledge, clear communication, and a commitment to safety. As a new part of the team at Airy Point Engineering Services, I am eager to apply my experience and collaborate with the team to deliver meaningful and successful projects.
Throughout my career, my most rewarding achievements were developing and implementing a mechanical asset management strategy for a 1,350 MW combined cycle power plant in Qatar, which improved both performance and safety compliance. In the clean energy sector, I have contributed to advancing lithium-based technologies by creating technical specifications for fluid services, often with limited data available. At Airy Point, I look forward to supporting the growth of water & energy infrastructure that benefits both industry and community.
At the core of my career are safety, integrity, and continuous improvement. To me, engineering is not only about calculations and standards, it is about solving real-world problems responsibly, safeguarding people and assets, and leaving systems better than we found them.
Away from the desk, I enjoy exploring British Columbia with my family, taking on DIY projects, discovering new food experiences, and volunteering my time with the Society of Filipino Engineers, an organization that I co-founded to help fellow Filipino Engineers navigate the path to licensure in Canada. While engineering challenges sharpen my technical skills, life reminds me to enjoy the journey along the way.
