The Role:

Airy Point is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer at Airy Point, you will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of industries including energy infrastructure, municipal infrastructure, industrial, and oil and gas. Our team is dedicated to providing innovative engineering solutions to our clients and we are looking for an experienced engineer who shares our commitment to excellence.

Position:

• Hourly Part Time Contract

Compensation:

• Range between $80 - $105/hr

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) license with EGBC
• Registered with EGBC approved digital signature software (Notarius, ConsignO)
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Electrical & Instrumentation engineering design

Required experience:

• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g. Canadian Electrical Code, NFPA, API, CSA)
• Performing electrical calculations and simulations
• Documented experience with P&ID development
• Experience with power system studies utilizing ETAP, SKM
• Experience with load flow, short circuit, Arcflash, analysis
• Design of Hazardous Area Classification and equipment selection for hazardous locations
• Design experience with the following electrical systems; switchgears, power distribution systems, equipment sizing, grounding, cable tray, lighting, motor control schematics, cable and panels schedules/layouts, control and protection panels, instrumentation, motor control center (MCC), control and distribution panels, cabling, and 
• Preparation of technical reports and project documentation

Preferred candidate will have experience with:

• Working in a multidisciplinary engineering setting
• Field Engineering
• Familiarity with E-houses, RTU, SCADA, DCS and PLC systems
• Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and practices
• Experience with project cost estimating and budgeting
• Bluebeam PDF editor
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and practices

The Role:

As an Administrative Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, supporting project teams, and ensuring the efficient operation of our office. Your role will involve a wide range of duties, from coordinating meetings and maintaining records to assisting with document management and client communication.

Location:

• Vancouver, BC

Position:

• On site
• Fulltime (40 hours/week)

Compensation:

• Range between $ 45,000 - $ 55,000 / year

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to project managers and engineering teams
• Assemble progress data and prepare monthly reports
• Tracking accounts payable
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Assist with document management, including proofreading and formatting
• Act as a point of contact for clients and team members
• Handle incoming calls and correspondence
• Support the organization of company events and activities
• Perform general clerical tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; further education or certifications in administration or project management preferred.
• Proven experience in a service industry, with a preference for candidates with customer-facing roles.
• Demonstrated ability in managing intake calls and email requests efficiently.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
• A general understanding of accounting practices, with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with project management software highly regarded.
• Strong organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
